We are in the process of updating the Long Range Regional Mobility Plan for the Knoxville Region. In short, the Mobility Plan lays out the vision for transportation in our region for the next 27+ years. All transportation projects that receive federal funding or are regional in nature must first be in this Plan. It is very important, and we hope you will be part of the process!

Draft Regional Mobility Plan
The Draft Regional Mobility Plan is now available for review. We will update it periodically as we receive comments. Sections are listed below. The plan is available as one large PDF file or you may choose to download the draft plan by sections if you experience problems downloading the full file.

Quick Info Fact Sheets
The Mobility Plan and the transportation planning process are often complex and confusing, with a lot of dense material to try to digest. We want to make it as easy as possible to learn about the process. To do this we will be releasing a series of brief Quick Info documents, meant to give you a quick overview of some part of the process. Let us know if there is something you find confusing and we will try to add a Quick Info page to simplify it for you.

Regional Mobility Plan Public Survey Results
In October and November, the TPO asked the public to tell us about transportation in our region—the condition of our system, top priorities for the future, how to spend transportation dollars. Thank you to the more than 300 people who participated. See the results >>

We have heard from many of you since late 2011. Below are a number of ways we have heard from people so far. More information is available in Chapter 4 of the Draft Mobility Plan.
