Traffic Skills 101
What are the rules of the road for bicyclists? Want to gain confidence biking in traffic? This 3-hour class includes on-the-bike training with parking lot drills and a group ride, as well as in-class presentation and discussion. The $20 registration fee includes Traffic Skills 101 handbook by the League of American Bicyclists. Taught by certified instructors.
Kids I
Designed for parents, this class explains how to teach a child to ride a bike and perform a bicycle safety check. Other topics include helmet fitting and bike sizing. The 'Kids Eye View' video shows parents how kids see the street environment differently from adults. There is an option to have kids attend this class with their parents. The length depends on whether the class is parents-only or with kids, and ranges between an hour and three hours.
Bike Commuting 101
For adult cyclists who wish to explore the possibility of commuting to work or school by bike. This hour-long presentation covers topics including route selection, bicycle choice, dealing with cargo and clothing, bike parking, lighting, reflection, and foul weather riding. Participants receive the Knoxville Bicycle Commute Guide. A perfect fit for Lunch and Learn programs at your worksite!
