Bike Mentor Program

Are you an experienced cyclist who just wants to know the best route to your office? Or, do you want to learn all the ins and outs of bicycle commuting? Maybe you've tried commuting but weren't sure how to ride in the rain, in the dark or in traffic. Whatever your situation, a Bike Mentor can help get you bicycling to work, school or wherever you’re heading.

To get started, you can find a lot of answers to your questions in our Bike Commute Guide. Once you’ve digested that, a Bike Mentor can help you find a comfortable route to your destination. We can also answer any questions you still have about choosing clothing, carrying things, etc. A Bike Mentor can even ride along with you the first time if you want!

Fill out the Bike Mentor registration form.

Bike commuting lets you:

  • Ignore traffic reports
  • Save money on gas and car maintenance
  • Fit a workout into your busy day
  • Feel energized when you arrive at work
  • Avoid parking hassles & costs
  • Help improve the region's air quality

If you aren’t comfortable riding in traffic, you can take one of our Street Skills classes, offered at various times throughout the year.
