Linda Gray, Jessee O’Hatrick, Brian Watson and Johnathan McClain have joined the Bike Advisory Committee. There was so much interest in the committee’s open seat that several committee members became non-voting members to accommodate four new members.

The consultants for the Complete Streets Study will engage neighborhood groups in a discussion on the proposed guidelines for creating complete streets during a public meeting on May 26 at 7 p.m. at the Knox County Health Department, 140 Dameron Ave. They will then present the final Complete Streets Study to the TPO Executive Board on May 27. Drafts of the Broadway/Fountain City and Washington Street/Hall Road Corridors are already available online.

Governor Phil Bredesen has released TDOT’s Comprehensive Multimodal Program for 2010-2012. This list of projects will be funded with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funds, proposed bridge bonds and TDOT’s regular funding mechanisms. It represents more than 450 projects statewide including 132 highway and bridge projects in east Tennessee.
