Make the road less traveled during Smart Trips Month. During May, enjoy a variety of events designed to promote transit, carpooling, bicycling, walking and other alternatives to driving alone.

Many new programs have been added along with past favorites, such as last year’s popular “Undriver’s License” and “How many can you fit in a Fit?”. The Business Challenge will award grand prizes to the two businesses with the most new registrants and the highest number of Smart Trips participants in May. Smart Trips Commuter awards will be given to participants for the Longest Bicycle Commute, Most People in a Carpool, Most Diverse Commute, Longest Walk, Sightseeing Award and Go Getter Awards.

Get inspired about commuting! The Wheel to Reel Contest challenges participants to create a short film about their commute. Bus travelers can win a $50 gift card in the Try Transit Essay Contest.
