The TPO Regional Bicycle Plan was adopted by the Knoxville City Council on April 20 and by Knox County Commission on April 26. Although the plan was already adopted by the TPO Executive Board, it was sent before these bodies to raise awareness of the plan at the local level.

On April 22, the Knoxville Transportation Authority (KTA) approved route changes which will take effect on August 16 with KAT’s move to the Knoxville Station Transit Center. Maps and schedules for the August 2010 route changes can be viewed on their website.

The Knoxville TPO has participated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a partnership with other local authorities in the Oak Ridge area to develop and implement a regional integrated transportation project within the Oak Ridge Energy Corridor.
